Luz Gonzalez

East Bay Chair

“Free enterprise capitalism is the most powerful system for social cooperation and human progress ever conceived. It is one of the most compelling ideas we humans have ever had. But we can aspire to even more.”

Luz has spent an entire lifetime focused on living a life of impact and purpose. Her journey led her from doing government work, to working in non-profits, to criminal international law and international human rights law, and finally to the world of startups and coaching. Her guiding star has been the same one for over a decade, how can we use our time and energy to meaningfully and positively impact our communities and world? When Luz learned of conscious capitalism she knew she was home. Luz now is the Co-Chair for CCBA’s East Bay region and is thrilled to get to work with conscious companies and entrepreneurs in the East Bay to build community, empower businesses, and show that consciousness is good for business.

Luz is a Peak Performance Coach for executives, founders, and business owners and anyone building an empire, and also the founder and CEO of Konviv, the Friendly Money Coach App. Through her work in running both a purpose and impact driven tech startup, and her corporate coaching work, Luz has lived and breathed the four tenets of conscious capitalism and knows that now more than ever, it is time for business to step in and step up and show the world what it means to not only be profitable (yay, profits!), but also intentional in how business impacts our communities, cities, countries, and world.

Luz was born in Mexico, and is proud of her immigrant roots, reads obsessively, is an ultra-runner, and is proud of her go-getter ways. Luz has a B.A. and J.D. from UC Berkeley, served for Teach America, and believes that tech is the medium by which we will drive social impact forward. Luz loves hard challenges, her latest hardest feat being completing her first 50-miler.”
